Today, we would like to share with you a way to boost your child’s vocabulary and remember content for various oral topics. It is simply to take down important vocabulary for the oral topic as your child practises. Instead of memorising an entire model answer, try remembering the key vocabulary related to each topic. This is your chance to showcase your personal insights, supported by examples and a well-articulated viewpoint. The emphasis here is on authenticity, depth of thought, and the fluency of your expression in standard English.

Therefore, encourage your child to speak Standard English where possible, and when they are able to do that, they will be able to code-switch when the situation arises.

Therefore, he should work on reading fluently first through practice exposure to proper pronunciation of words in English.
Encourage them to ask such questions regularly and discuss them with their family and friends. During the 10-minute preparation time, you are usually given a minute-long video to watch. This is usually related to the Reading Passage and acts as a visual stimulus for your conversation with the examiners.
